This study contributes to a growing body of research that calls into question the assumption that all members of the Net Generation are uniformly sophisticated in their use of web-based technologies. Students graduating from an undergraduate business program were surveyed about their use of a range of technologies for academic and personal uses. Findings suggest that the majority of respondents use a limited range of technologies everyday to communicate and to stream audio and video web content. Many fewer students regularly used technologies associated with producing web content. Differences were also found in technology use patterns across gender lines.
