Paul Walsh

Professor, Aerospace Engineering (Mechanical engineering)

Dr. Walsh did graduate studies at the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies in the development of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) algorithms applied to aircraft aerodynamics. He has done post-doctoral work at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center in California. Dr. Walsh has been a faculty member in the Department of Aerospace Engineering for more than 20 years. He has taught undergraduate courses in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, low speed aerodynamics, viscous fluids and aircraft design. At the graduate level, Dr. Walsh has taught computational fluid dynamics (CFD), high speed aerodynamics, and aircraft safety and reliability. His research interests are in aerospace applications of CFD, applied aerodynamics, urban wind power generation, and aerospace propulsion systems.
