The film is a poetic portrait composed of testimonies by her primary caregivers. Recalling memories of Irene, they tackle issues such as absence, loss, and the difficulty of caring for someone you love that has forgotten who you are. Ultimately, the film asks if it is Alzheimer’s that ends the identity of a person or if that happens when we forget who they were. This paper exposes the themes that served as a basis for the creation of this project as well as the process of its development.
