This Major Research Paper (MRP) serves as a guide for students interested in conducting research and advocacy with Filipinx/a/os communities in Canada. Through a scoping review of recent scholarly articles available at Toronto Metropolitan University's online library catalog, this study simulates the initial research process for students. A thematic analysis of the literature outlines four prominent themes: labour migration; health(care); immigrants and immigrant families; and diasporic identities and experiences. Students are recommended bodies of work from Critical Filipinx/a/o Studies, an emergent interdisciplinary field that enriches and expands on the literature reviewed and provides critical insights on the diverse identities and experiences of Filipinx/a/os in Canada.
