Striking the Right Note: Spatial Analysis of the Live Music Venues in London, Ontario, Canada
This paper examines the significance of live music venues in London, Ontario, Canada. Incorporating spatial analysis using geospatial practices, demographic characteristics, and economic evidence, this study provides foundational information about London's live music venues ecosystem and its potential to be a music city hub in North America. It argues that London has ample human capital resources and a desirable geographic location to support a vibrant creative community but does not have the supply of live music venues to support further growth of the industry. The author supports investments directed towards the creative sector and community to aid in the development of another economic driver for the London economic and cultural economies.
