This Major Research Project examines how a small-town government - the Town of Halton Hills - engaged in the discussion of diversity and inclusion in Council meetings and official Town communications. Theoretically and methodologically informed by concepts such as the urban/rural divide and the "rural idyll", localism, and diversity discourse policies and practices, this study fills an important gap in government communication research.
