This study researched the perceived benefits and shortcomings of the current digital platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Google Maps and studio/ individual artists' websites) and how it affects the decision-making process of getting a tattoo, as well as the external factors that contribute to the regretful tattoo experiences. More specifically, an analysis of current platforms helped uncover the potential solutions and integrate new features in the development of a system for a one-stop platform for tattoo lovers looking to find tattoo artists, gather information, book tattoo appointments, get new tattoos, and build connections. By using the Dot platform, users can go through all the steps before deciding, entering tattoo shops, and arranging tattoo appointments. Have a streamlined process of getting tattoos under a smooth, transparent and trustworthy environment.
