The life cycle effects of Mobility Technologies and Services (MTS) are analyzed. Once 100% of vehicles are ZEVs in Canada, there will be less pollution in residential communities and on roads. However, there will still be impacts in the communities where the minerals in the vehicles are mined and processed as well as where the electricity is generated. The findings of the study showed that subsidies are the best way to increase the percentage of EVs on the road and lower CO2 emissions. Predictions were made using a System Dynamic model. According to the Base Case scenario, 32% of vehicles will be EVs by 2026, 60% by 2030, and 92% by 2035. 20 different scenarios were created to show how water shortages near lithium sites, gas prices, the recycling of lithium, aluminum, and steel, an added carbon tax, and subsidies will affect the percentage of EVs and CO2 emission levels.
