Assessment of AI Enabled Case Simulations

This research examines the ability of AI to help business students improve their understanding of teaching cases.

The research is from four years of trials, using a commercial AI software package, to create four simulations.  The simulations are directly tied to the course curriculum and are designed to give students a better understanding of various business environments and personalities.   

The research seeks to understand if AI enabled simulation helps students to gain a better understanding of the case, compared to a written (textbook) case.  This is important for young students who have little or no business experience.

The cases focus on how information technology (IT) is used in business organizations.  The business course is ITM100, a required first year course for all IT Management students at TMU.
