Stardust is a celebration of the dust and scratches in film, the real ones not the fake digital effects. It is a true collage film in both image and sound, to a soundtrack made by Gerstyn Hayward – a sound-collage of snippets from mainstream cinema and TV in which there is a reference to dust or death. The images are all taken from films in my own orphan film collection, such as a reel from the NFB series "Canada at War". These particular images were used to evoke the idea that we need to fight a total take-over by digital and preserve our dying celluloid past.

Honourable Mention International Competition: Stardust. VIDEOEX, INTERNATIONAL FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL (Zurich, Switzerland).

Antimatter Film Festival (Victoria, British Columbia)

Edinburgh International Film Festival (Edinburgh, Scotland)

Videoex International Experimental Film and Video Festival (Zurich, Switzerland)

Go Short International Short Film Festival (Nijmegen, The Netherlands)

Stem Cell: Edmonton Media Arts Festival (Edmonton, Alberta)
