The experience of racialized individuals with library resource discovery

This paper is an essay outlining a qualitative research study that could be performed on the experience of racialized individuals when using library discovery. One of the main anticipated issues with access to library resources is the use of Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) and controlled vocabularies in general. Examples of known issues with sex and gender identities in LCSH are used to anticipate similar issues experienced by racialized individuals.
