Medical and Biological Physics on the Rise

At the 2006 CAP Congress, the Division of Medical and Biological Physics (DMBP) sponsored/co-sponsored 7 scientific sessions with 39 presentations, including 19 by students. This year our Division invited eight speakers, which attracted 59 DMBP conference participants. The DMBP scientific program represented a broad range of research expertise in medical and biological physics from 16 institutions/companies across Canada and three countries internationally (US, Taiwan and Sweden). With topics ranging from cancer therapies to low dose rate radiation exposure, the presentations were excellent and the caliber of research impressive.
